Terms of Service
Version: 2026-10-04
Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Southax LLC, the company providing ndxer. "We", "us" and "our" refer to Southax LLC.
Use of ndxer is subject to these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
ndxer answers forward and inverse DNS lookups through a web app and an API. The service is currently in a closed test with a small group of users: it may change, break, or be unavailable without notice, and you should not build anything you cannot afford to lose on it yet.
Accounts
You need an account to use the service. Keep your password and your API keys confidential; you are responsible for everything done through your account, including by anyone you give a key to. Tell us promptly if you think your account or a key has been compromised.
API keys and usage limits
Keys belong to your account and are not to be shared or resold. Your plan sets how many queries you may make in a month and how many keys you may hold; we may apply rate limits, and requests over a limit are refused rather than queued.
Plans and billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each month or year, according to the billing interval you select at checkout, until you cancel. Stripe handles payment and stores card details; ndxer does not receive your full card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal linked from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where the law requires it.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account, or revoke a key, if we believe it is being used in breach of these terms or of the Acceptable Use Policy, or where we have to in order to protect the service or other users. Where it is practical to warn you first, we will.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that an answer is accurate, current, or complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Do not rely on it as your only source for a decision that matters.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and the policies they refer to. When a change is material we will publish the new version here and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in; continuing to use the service after that means you accept it. If you do not, stop using the service and close your account.
