Acceptable Use Policy

Authorised use only

Use the service for lawful purposes, and only to look up names and addresses you own, administer, or otherwise have permission to investigate. The data ndxer returns is derived from public DNS records, but that does not make every use of it acceptable.

Prohibited uses

The following are prohibited:

• harassment, stalking, or deanonymisation
• resale, redistribution, or bulk republication of lookup data
• scraping
• circumventing caps, truncation, or rate limits
• key sharing
• unlawful or sanctioned use

In plain terms: the answers are for you to use, not for you to republish as a dataset of your own. Take the results through the API and your plan's limits, rather than automating the web pages, and do not spread one account's usage across several keys, accounts, or addresses to get past a cap.

Enforcement

Suspected abuse may result in immediate suspension of your account and revocation of your keys, with or without warning, and we may review our logs to look into it. We will tell you what happened and, where the breach is one that can be put right, what putting it right would take.
